Violectric V222 what an upgrade!

I have had amps, from Schiit, Cavalli, Topping etc. And all have served me well. My latest amp was a Topping A90D, which for the money, is a decent headphone amp. But here we go with what didn't work out... I wqs lucly enough to have been able buy the Double Sided Tungstens from Modhouse. While the A90D is a powerful headphone amp, it lacked the gain and voltage needed to run them. After a long conversations with a few people and many reviews, I decided to go with the Violectric V222. First, it's built like a tank, and oozes a premium feel. All that means nothing unless you can perform, and perform it does! Listening to The Who, The Moody Blues, to Led Zeppelin. Following up with Loreena Mckennitt to even classical music, this amp makes my Tungstens sing! I have other cans like SennHD600 and Audeze LCD2 Razors to ZMF Oris which I have yet to fully try out. I am sure it will do wonders for those cans too! At just under $1k and some tax this amp is not what you call budget, but low enough to not make most cry the blues. This hobby can get insane but this amp, for me and my uses totally hits it out of the park. Just my 2 cents. You can google and look up pro reviewers that say similar things I do! Super highly recommended!

I'm interested in getting this amp as well. What DAC are you pairing this amp with?

Yeah, I got a great price off eBay. After shipping and tax was about the same price as the Drop price thankfully. Just got the. Received today so going to try em out when I get home. Thanks for answering my questions. I appreciate it.
JmunandarI try my best. There are a lot of more knowledgeable people here than me. A lot of people feel that under 1K DACs are pretty much all the same within reason. But I am sure the BiFrost will be fine! The V222 lets you adjust pre-gain as needed too by dip switches on the back. Enjoy it as much as I like mine!
