Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Name Oh shit, our focus group for the name WAS full of teenage girls! How could we forget that audiophiles need to be old men!? Lol, the name stays, go chew some bamboo if you don't like it : ) Software Correct, there is no accompanying software with Panda. That said, we designed the firmware to be user upgradable. As some others have pointed out, the chipset does have DSP capabilities, we just have it turned off. This means if we see enough interest in an EQ app (or something like that) we could build it and all Panda users could upgrade. Controls Look more closely at the bottom right corner of the first two pics in our announcement post. On the back of the right earcup you'll see a control stick. This control stick houses all the controls for the headset. See the previous update we posted for more details on the control scheme, but it's all tactile and ergonomically placed. ANC Correct, there's no ANC. Given the passive isolation we achieved (more than the PM3, similar to pro headsets), we didn't want to compromise the sound by introducing ANC. As well, from an overall product perspective, this headphone is for enjoying music, not canceling noise. The passive isolation + AAA amp give you a dark background and plenty of juice to keep your music front and center. Looks Yup, that's the look, matte black on matte black. We'll likely do colorways in the future, black + white, 6XX blue, etc, but you can have any color you want as long as it's black at launch. That said, I think you'll find the design a bit more "flashy" when you see it on-head or in pictures comparing with other headphones. The silhouette and overall industrial design is svelte. Case Yes, these fold flat and will come with a case. Balanced Capable Not in this version. We may do a passive version in the future which would be wired balanced, but we opted to enable use with boom-mic cables instead of balanced cables for this version. Pad Options Yup, we designed this for easy pad swapping. Pads will be available in future, but no huge plans for a plethora of pads at launch. Battery We'll report it as a number of hours measured at the same db output standard as other major headsets use, but we'll also be able to report the DB level. TL;DR is that it's long enough to use for days without charging it and when you do need to charge, it charges fast. Thanks for your interest in Panda, keep the questions coming!
