I would not use the 58x for gaming over music. Also, for gaming and casual stuff like anime, I honestly don't know why you'd want to go so high in price just because you can. For gaming and casual stuff like anime, I don't know if the extra money is too necessary. You're likely not going to have any specialized support for that purpose if you go with the 6XX either. Maybe the 4XX, but idk if that would be necessarily "better." For both purposes, the 58X is fine, and I could see why you'd want a different headphone for gaming, but I'm confused as to why you're going the other way around. Also, I would not use the 58x for gaming over music. Do you personally need one headphone for each purpose? It seems unnecessary unless you have a specific want already in mind. Regardless of this, you probably shouldn't take any responses here seriously, including my own, unless they're from known reviewers who you can fact-check yourself. Honestly, I feel like putting in your own research could be quite a bit more helpful here, and I'm assuming you have already, so just keep going! It's pretty easy once you figure out where to go(honestly, Reddit and Youtube work pretty damn well), and I wish you luck. P.S./TL;DR - PLEASE don't buy those headphones, and look into some others first, since there's more effective options that could run for higher value too. I can't remember off the top of my head, but better options should definitely be there.

Mr.EggI appreciate you replay, my 58x almost broke in halfs and I fixed them myself, but the one who broke it gave me the money for new one that's why I'm thinking of upgrading, and I'm seeing in a lot of forums and reviews that's the 6xx is an upgrade in sound quality in general, but the 58x have a better imaging thus better for competitive fps games, in that case I can leave the 58x for gaming only and let it live longer, and get the 6xx for my daily use.

Can't comment on the HE4XX; I can tell you that the HD6XX are an upgrade over the 58X. Not a night-and-day upgrade, but there's definitely more heft to the sound you get out of them. They will definitely require that amplifier to get the most out of them.

This is true right here. It's definitely more convenient, although it's probably still nice to have a clean source, so maybe the 58x is more like $280. I'm pretty surprised that you're complimenting the bass though, seeing as that doesn't really seem to be the focus of either headphone. Anyway, this guy couldn't have gone wrong with either one he chose. They're both special in their own way, and I do appreciate that the 6xx should be better for calm music, since that's a category I'm pretty interested in. Thanks for the perspective B

Mr.EggThey might not be bass-focused headphones, but the HD6xx still reach deeper than the 58x, they just have more presence lower down. One update: I was doing some testing this evening (evaluating sound quality on my wife's Airpod Pro's, a story for another day) and I discovered that my Schiit Vali, which I had sort-of dismissed as "lame" on my HD6xx, seriously came alive on the HD58x!
