Anyone else get the season 2 diffuser with the season 3 case? I did, and it even stated as much on the packing slip. The season 2 diffuser does not fit the season 3 case very well. The corner radius is not the same, and the metal case overhangs the diffuser by a fair bit.

I had the same experience. Contacted Drop and they claimed it is normal.

Same here! I just built my board & the diffuser not being flush with the case corners really triggers my OCD. The box the acrylic piece came in says ‘Season 2,’ not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be but. Would really like an explanation.

kcampos103My best guess...Drop had a lot of unsold Season 2 diffusers. They made slight design changes to how they Season three cases were manufactured. They then ignored the difference and sold them anyway. When I wrote to support about the issue I received a full refund for the cost of the diffuser.

givemeyourshoesYeah that is pretty outrageous. For a kit that is $200, you’d expect the QA on accessory pieces to come in line with the product. I didn’t think to complain but, since I don’t seem to be the only one, i’m going to do the same. it is CLEARLY misaligned with the case, so it pretty much throws off the corner radius and looks ugly. I’ll get in touch with them to see if I can get a refund for the diffuser.
