Music workstation next level

more_vert
Hi, I’m researching audio interfaces, headphones, DAC/amp etc. For connecting to my Yamaha PSR-S770 workstation to enable recording and saving of my music for my use. It’s mind boggling and potentially very expensive. I have a limited budget so most of my days are spent in search of quality bargains. Found myself here. Great products but shipping and taxes to UK are counteracting the deals to a large degree. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not super well versed in music prod. but I have recommendations? Sorta. I recommend you get the Akai MPK/MPC on Amazon, for budget. If you look that up on Amazon it'l come up with the real model name and it should be hovering around $99 USD last time I checked. To be transparent, I haven't personally tried but have heard its everything you need in terms of essentials/a solid first unit to start out with. So take all that with a grain of salt. Secondly I recommend ableton as an all arounder for a DAW. Ableton seems like one of the standards that alike bedroom pop producers, big industry music also uses. Thirdly, If you will be mixing said music, you'd rather have Reference headphones. These are headphones that allow you to hear things as close to the way you recorded them without altering it for aesthetic taste. These headphones will not color any of the music, leaving you exactly with what you recorded. Best,

So far so good thanks. Actually surprisingly quite good sound and volume from the Focusrite Headphone Out. I'm looking forward to hearing the AKGs via a decent Amp/DAC.
