How about a left handed keyboard like this on Drop?

This is the best left handed keyboard I've owned so far, it's good, but I would love a drop mechanical keyboard with this layout. I know it may seem weird to most people but this is a much better layout for me and I'm not even left handed. It has a balanced, ergonomic, layout that keeps your typing keys centered (and my arms and shoulders) which leaves plenty of room for a mouse on whichever side you want. I use the numpad for fps gaming so I don't ever have to shift my keyboard to position the wasd keys in line with my shoulder like I would on a regular keyboard. I also use the numpad frequently for everyday use without having to remove my right hand from the mouse. Anyway, a guy can dream I suppose. Until then, I'll stick with my trusty bloody B945 left handed keyboard which seems to be the only worthy option out there for gamers/developers.

Agreed on many of those points. I'm going to be building one soon- something like the Bloody is just too cheesy looking to put on my desks.

NotABotI agree on the looks, I keep toying with the idea of making my own but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

I prefer layout like iKBC L87 / L108 where the navigation keys and are on the left. It is extremely handy to use your left hand to navigate webpages without your right hand leaving the mouse. Too bad iKBC discontinued the keyboards and did not sell them outside Asia.

We had a numpad project in the works that is currently on hold. As for a proper Southpaw keyboard, maybe one day.

I love Southpaw keebs. Check out mine. Southpaw Extended 65% keyboard, clipped, lubed, and Band-Aid moded the stabilizers, with Tealios V2 switches, lubed with Tribosys 3204, replacement 55g springs from Catweewee/Switchmod, Red LEDs, and DSS Dolch keycaps. (https://imgur.com/gallery/B4Y8DKo)

It really isn't left-handed. Keyboards are not susceptible to handedness. It's just a keyboard with the numpad on the left. That said, I do like this setup more than the traditional one. I can see the benefits of using the numpad and mouse at the same time with this setup. Curiously, that would make this keyboard useful for right-handed mouse users ;)

marfigFor me, as a right handed person, I like that it centers my keyboard more with my monitor, the querty part, not just the whole keyboard. Also, when I develop, and am doing a bunch of numerical entry, I like to use the numpad with my left hand instead of the top row number keys, and use my right to navigate with the mouse. So with this setup, I don't have to cross my left hand over to the other side of the keyboard, my left hand stays aligned with my shoulder.

A separate Numpad is nice in this situation since it allows for flexibility. You can put it wherever you wish, and you can put it away when you don’t need it.

Oh okay it was just that you said this “Probably not an issue now but I still would want a gaming numpad that has a mathcing keyboard that, preferably, plugs into the main keyboard.”

EmperorTeddy@EmperorTeddy The Claymore is a good find and definitely worth mentioning. I had forgotten about it actually. There was another gaming keyboard that had a switchable numpad but it didn't get very good reviews, I don't remember what that one was either. Anyway, thanks for mentioning it.

WilliamCCTNah. Not the same thing. Besides they take more space than a 100% keyboard. The only thing I would ever consider extending my keyboard with, would be a macropad. Check out a certain CU7.
Intriguing....
