Drop ALT Randomly Disconnects?

more_vert
I purchased a second-hand Drop ALT because it was in seemingly good condition and the seller had very good reviews on eBay. However, I've noticed that the keyboard will randomly disconnect. Following a few earlier threads, I noticed that a lot of people linked it to how hot the keyboard was getting due to the LEDs, and dimmed mine. Ever since then, no problems. This appears to have been a common issue with the first run of these keyboards, which I learned mine was when attempting to flash a new profile to it. However, I would love to be able to run the LEDs at full blast, especially with my new pudding keycaps on the way. I was curious if anyone has found a fix for this, or if there is any way for me to buy an updated PCB to swap in?

with this type of problem if it has a software you might be able to find something in the software that can help you, but if not. You should most likey contact the creator of it if it was used but if it keeps disconnecting , you can check inside the keyboard to see if the battery is fine or if its loose from the keyboard

Not_TFunny enough, after I ordered a new PCB, I ended up swapping the keycaps over from the default "Drop" ones to pudding keycaps and I haven't had an issue since. Not sure why it would make a difference, but I'm happy it's working again ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
