Any particular reason why the nishi set is not offered in a base kit model?

It's pretty upsetting that they used to include nishi characters with the base kit but now you have to pay nearly double the price to get the original look.

What’s the QMK link? I’m unable to program with VIA and when I did end up programming it through VIA it didn’t always work right and sometimes not at all so I’d like to try through QMK to see if it makes a difference
