There Are Pandas, and Then There Are Pandas.
And this isn't either of them! The Pandas we're talking about here, are watches, not bears. And what got me thinking about them (again) was a link posted this morning by @cm.rook who pointed a few of us to the very attractive (and not terribly priced) Yema "Rallygraph" Panda which, in it's most traditional arrangement, looks like the one on the left, but can also be had in the version on the right: The model on the left is a true Panda, while the model on the right is called a reverse Panda. I'm looking for two-channel systems specifically intended for hires music reproduction (whether supplied by CD players, turntables, digital files, or bluetooth). I'm NOT interested in no-name Chinese products that I can't evaluate locally. I am looking for new technology from the top-five or so, mainstream manufactures. Open to receivers or integrated amplifiers (but leaning to the later) in $1,000-ish 100w/side-ish range and speaker systems in the same price range. I want versatility in connection options/sources, but don't care about paid subscription streaming service compatibility. Yamaha, Onkyo, Pioneer, Sony, Marantz for amps and receivers, partial to JBL for speakers--undecided about bookshelf vs floor standing.
And of course, everything must be compatible with my extensive collection Elvis eight-track tapes...
