75% Mechanical Keyboards

more_vert
I have been looking to get a feature-packed keyboard that is still in a small for factor. For me, it seems like the 75% format is what I need, but there seems to be such a lack of options. I am personally trying to find one with customizeable backlighting and cherry mx red or silver switches. I have yet to find anything that suits what I am looking for, even though I have been searching for days. How many people, in general, do you think use 75% keyboards, and do you think that there should be more options? It is frustrating to spend so much time trying to find something, that most likely doesn't exist.

Hey! You can actually get the KBD75 assembled for you already if you look here: https://kbd.fans/collections/fully-assembled-keyboard/products/fully-assembled-kdb75-mechanical-keyboard
Comes with pretty much all types of switches (cherry mx/gatreon/kailh/aliaz/zealios/tealios etc), and you just gotta leave a note in your order as to what colour case you want and other sorts of customizable things (layout, usb-c upgrade, GMK stabilizer upgrade). You just need to get your own set of keycaps! My friend bought a kbd75 there two weeks ago and it came fully assembled!

Yeah, that's definitely a trade-off. Personally I prefer non-backlit boards, but thats just me.

LevelSteamWell, backlit boards are still good for that because you could just turn off the lights. Haha

Typically the best 75% keyboards are not preassembled and come in kits, for example the kbd75, xd84, and tx75 are good options.

briank6932the KB75 would be perfect for me, but I would prefer it being preassembled, plus it doesn't appear that is the backlighting that I want. I usually type in dark environments. Hoping for that kit to drop again here on Massdrop, and they offer for the construction of the board. I have never built a keyboard before, and am worried about the soldering.
