Sailing / Rigging Knife

more_vert
I've spent the past year looking for a sailing / rigging knife that has all the features I assume anyone sailing would like: Floating, non slip handle, shackle keys, partially serrated assisted opening blade, 2 position locking marlinspike, pocket clip, lanyard attachment options, etc. I can find plenty of knives that offer some of these features, but no knives that offer all. Anyone else looking for such a tool?

Spyderco makes one called Tusk. It's expensive, but apparently Sal & Erik sail? I don't know, but this has been around forever and was never popular, so I assume it is more of a passion project than a money maker for spyderco. I included a link to spydercos website, but you can find it below MSRP elsewhere. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C06TI/Tusk/859

Haven't had a need for one since the crash of '29--had to take a loss on a pretty little daysailer I used to have--damn shame--sold her to a rum-runner out of Nova Scotia as I recall--never saw her gain.

Anyway back then, we always carried Myerchin. They don't float, but they do everything else a seafaring man could ask. You ought'a get yourself a couple:
