Awesome pairing. Cardas knows everything there is to know about purified copper. He built his own furnace for smelting copper that allowed for fewer impurities, because what was available commercially wasn't nearly pure enough for the sound he was after. I'm no chemist, but I'm pretty sure a pure copper wire does a better job carrying sound waves than a junked up one. The rest is audiophile history. But you probably knew all that, not many would spend so much for a cable without knowing specifics.
Did you notice an immediate difference in sound than the stock cable? Also, how is it when balanced? A great amp and quality source are essential, so of course you've got that covered. Sorry, just real curious about the sound. Variety is the spice of life amirite? I know that is one very nice dynamic duo ;-)
I love my EM 5813,

they have the very best bass response from any of the IEMs I have. More than any I've ever heard that weren't just cheap, bogus 'bass blasters' with more distortion than SPL. The high end doesn't suffer, the mids and highs come through and you can hear each voice of the instruments. Got mine here at MD when they were $150. The ear speakers might have the finest overall sound and timbre of all of the others in my arsenal. The solid brass (copper coated) housing and the one dynamic 11mm driver (how?) along with the Clear light cable make this a steal in my book.
Thanks for putting up with me and all my questions, I bet that combo approaches audio nirvana. Worth every penny.
The ear mirrors might pop up again here an MD, to request: https://drop.com/buy/cardas-em5813-iem. They have a big brother set too. I loved the company's ethos so much I dove in and I must say I got a lot more than my money's worth.
You're feeling like I did after I got the Clear. Just remember, every time you listen with those, you can pat yourself on the back knowing you have access to some of the best sounds on the planet, seriously. I haven't heard the 8XX, yet but I will. Also bear in mind my shame when I got the FOCAL stand. Don't feel bad about $250 for a cable when I paid that much for a simple headphone stand! Just so I didn't embarrass the Clear lol.

Believe it or not, that was with a hundred bucks off cuz open-box, I couldn't find any defects, must've been buyer's remorse, ha.

I was not gonna spend $350 rofl.
It does have a nice, heavy (synthetic) stone base with a brushed aluminum frame, laser-cut logo and the name, for which one does pay, after all ;-)
Better than this one ;-)
