DROP AND CHROMECAST AUDIO - PLEASE! Chromecast Audio was an ingenious mini adapter that let you stream music via WiFi over a network (rather than via bluetooth) to a connected device. The result was/is a non-degraded digital signal to whatever target device you wanted to listen from. Google discontinued the 3.5mm output audio device (which also fed a 3.5 mm toslink cable) in favor of its hdmi output video products (which can still send audio streams to an hdmi receiver, but not to legacy non-hdmi audio devices), and made deals with various manufacutlrers to build Chromecast as a feature into newer WiFi enabled receivers. I have several of the original puck/disc devices, and use them to stream Tidal and Spotify to various dac/amp and older stereo receivers around the house and office. If Drop can make a deal to bring back the Chromecast Audio puck with toslink and 3.5mm audio jack capability for streaming at or near the original $35-50 price (which included AC to USB phone charger sized adapter), Drop could potentially have its most popular product yet.
