Schiit Fulla 2 or O2+ODAC ? If fulla cost 100$ and ODAC cost 180$ ? Which one would you choose? Mainly for gaming, paired with DT 990 pro
guys please vote for Audio GD NFB-28
I have no patience for all this voting mumbo-jumbo--I voted for the Jotonheim with my wallet! Just got word it shipped today with the Gen 2 DAC upgrade ;- )

We need "vote to remove" feature. We'll never see Schiit product in the drops. If we do it will be by their own grace, not by our collective will, and havin fulla or magni as option in vote is only the finger in the eye.
I have a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, these things are great for hooking up mics with phantom power, but their headphone output is weak. I've had it side by side with a Schiit Magni 2 and the Magni sounded much better with everything.
Sadly, Schiit isn't going to do a sale, but they never said they won't do a Massdrop limited edition that might happen to have a different price. It would have to be an actually different product than their normal line up. It's worth seeing if they will do it.
First, let me say that I have no problem with the question. Today, I voted for the Decware. Next week maybe something else. A man can dream can't he?
Essence HDACC is the only one with HDMI!!
Lets' see here... ladies and gentlemen... Shit wins by a mile! How could this possibly be? I'm shocked.. completely shocked.
You should be shocked honestly
i have ath m40x using it with 8 yr old sony laptop and wis to experience quality audio and some punchier bass .
so far after googling i have come to find these schiit fulla 2 (153 usd) , fiio e10k ( 92usd) , schiit modi 2 (185 usd) , fiio q1 ( 77usd) , dragonfly v1.5 (161usd) {converted from india rupees to usd prices are very high compared to us}
these all come under my budget and apart from laptop i also wish to use the same with my samsung mobile / even if it does not
work with mobile its not deal breaker for me.
given that its m40x dac amp is not necessarily needed so whether its dac or dac/amp combo it does not matter to me
i just want best bang for buck / no plans to upgrade to newer costlier headphones.

its so much confusing /
kindly suggest what to buy ??
fulla 2
Guys, Schiit will never give discounts or sales. The link explains it all.
Edit: thank you @Helpbot for updated link
Stop voting for Schiit gear! "I found your product on a curated online store/group buy deal/anywhere not listed above, is that legit? -No. If it's not us, or not listed above, it's not going to be covered by us. Sorry." on:
They also stated that there will never be a sale of their products, it would harm the prices outside of the sale times on their webpage a while back, i couldn't find that part right now.

..It's just pointless..
So is your ranting about it.
If you were genuinely enthusiastic about audio, then there is no such thing as "all the DAC/Amp you'll ever need".
Some people don't want to spend $500 for a DAC on a $200 pair of headphones
That’s not the point... and saying a $200 headphone is all you’ll ever need is presumptuous as well (especially if you’re referring to the HD6XX, K7XX or HE4XX, as all of them are $500 headphones in a retail market).
Assuming you’ll ever be complete and content with your gear is equivalent to admitting you don’t care about finding something better. Better doesn‘t have to be more expensive, but better does require different, which means you can’t have a single piece of gear forever. The pursuit of different, more, or your own “better” will drive you toward new things.
I completely agree with Jackula’s statement, and I’m far from the high end of things. I’m after a personal thing, not objective “best” through $$$ gear.
Added the newer Nfb 11.28 to the voting polls. Anyone who voted for the Nfb 11, I urge you to vote for the Nfb 11.28 instead. It is their newer Nfb 11 with many great upgrades and improvements at the same price!
Valhalla 2 not even an option?! You guys are buying the Sennns 600, 650s and 6XX by the truck load. They sound the BEST when paired with a good OTL amp. I thought the 650s were mediocre cans until I paired them with the Valhalla 2. Now they are as good as every thinks they should be.
If y'all are gonna spend hundreds on cans like the Senns you need to look up impedance matching for amps.

Voltage isn't everything, you need current to actually move the drivers properly. A lot of people get hung up on getting these headphones running loud enough, but not enough attention paid to distortion. I'm also not disagreeing with you on budget concern. But if money wasn't an issue, it makes sense to also buy an amp that lets you drive HD6XX to the fullest. You can certainly do better than a O2 or Magni, and certainly better than a Valhalla too.
There's no point in buying good headphones and a bad amp. the whole chain of devices running from your source (may it be analog or digital) need to be up to par. garbage in - garbage out, the best sound you'll hear will be determined by your worst component. I predict a lot of frustration and a lot of bad reviews for the 6XX because of people not doing the research and just thinking that headphones are headphones and that they can just plug them into a phone like their 20$ in-ears. If you can only afford the headphones- you cannot afford the headphones. Remember that the HD650 are 400$ headphones, you can't expect the supporting accessories for a 400$ product to be 50$. That's something to think about BEFORE buying a 400$ headphone at 200$.
Needs more NFB 11.28 love.

That's a shame... However, from what I've heard, Masdrop has never collaborated with Schiit, so all those Schiit products winning in the polls are probably not going to happen which makes way for at least the Nfb 11, which while not as good as the newer 11.28, is still great.
Schiit only sells through Schiit, and they specifically do not do sales or discounts of any kind, ever. It's in big bold print right on their website. Goes to show that the person who created this poll doesn't even know what the hell it is they are talking about.
I've heard really good things about the NFB11. If enough of us were interested we could almost certainly get a solid deal since shipping is around $30 to North America. Here's a link to their website (the DAC is from China): Thoughts?
0 They recently upgraded their Nfb 11 to the Nfb 11.28. It has the ES9028 DA chip instead of the ES9018. They upgraded the a better USB interface (Amanero). They upgraded their PSU's. Added an internal optional filter to make the sound warmer using jumper pins they provide you with and a bunch of other things. I uploaded a poll for the Nfb 11.28 and suggest that anyone that has voted or is interested in the Nfb 11, check out and vote for the Nfb 11.28 instead.
Schiit is badly designed low fidelity junk. Learn about DAC's and amps and buy something well designed instead.
Look at the results though. People love schiit. There advertising has been great. To be able to put out a mediocre device at a premium is an accomplishment.
Schiit doesn't do business with massdrop guys. Kinda figured everyone would see that by now. There was even a discussion posted about it.

If I could find it, I totally would. Scrolled through the Hub for quite some time.
Alright man, appreciate the effort! Thanks.
I'd like to see some massdrop exclusive versions in all black I'd even pay a little more for them.
The Jotunheim would be good. Seperate, balanced and descrete from the dual DACs all the way to the output jacks. They use AKM DACs in their non-multibit stuff which are still really good.
Is the Sennheiser GSX-1000 a good DAC for music, or ist it just for gaming with his feautures, like most "gaming-headsets"? Has someone experience with the GSX-1000 ?

Not listening to a customer on a specific issue is not the same as building devices in a garage (though how do you think nearly every electronics company got started?). I also like power switches on the front, but ultimately, it's not a big deal on a piece of gear meant to be used up close on a desktop. My Woo Audio WA7 has its power switch on the back, and it doesn't bother me.
I don't own any Schiit gear, but I just don't get your sensitivity to their "attitude." Do you think if a single customer goes to a large company that certainly doesn't have the garage feel, that the company would change their entire product range for that one person, or even a small handful of people?
Lastly, the vast majority of companies in Hi-Fi, and even many of the companies in pro audio are very small. I work for Audio Engineering Associates (more commonly known as AEA Ribbon Mics), and we make all of our stuff by hand with our staff of less than 15 people, yet tons of well-known musicians and producers use our product. We do the best we can to please our customers, but if someone asked us to change something that would affect our entire product range, there wouldn't really be much we could do there.
Appreciate your insight. But to rephrase my point in the form of a question.. if no one wants the unit built like that, then why is it built like that? Not as a design engineer or a business owner, but rather as a paying customer, I can't think of any legitimate excuse.
A drop for the Jotunheim or the Mojo would be a gift to humanity!
