Some quick math here: the BfZ Holiday Gift Box MSRP is $20. It comes with 5 booster packs, plus 20 basic lands (which aren't full art, apparently). The average BfZ Booster Box is going for about $110, and it comes with 36 booster packs. The BfZ Fat Pack's MSRP is $40, and it includes 9 booster packs, plus 80 full art lands.
Using the Booster Box as the base for the worth of a booster pack, we get this: $110 divided by 36 packs is equal to approximately $3.06 per pack.
For the Holiday Box, you're spending about $15.30 for the booster packs, and then $4.70 for the box and extras, which isn't too bad of a deal when you actually consider what you are purchasing (basically a bunch of cardboard).
For the Fat Pack, you're spending about $27.54 on the packs, and then about $12.46 for the box, the spindown die, the 80 full art lands, the lore booklet/card list, and the little paper deck boxes. And that's at the $40 MSRP. Vendors through Amazon are now charging freaking $70 for the thing.
What we really need is a drop for the Fat Packs. They're the one item that is actually being overcharged for what you get in it. Honestly, you can go online and buy 80 individual full art lands for less than $15, if that's what you're really after.
If you want an idea of what you're getting with the Fat Packs and the Holiday Boxes, I highly recommend checking out Tolarian Community College on YouTube. The guy does a really good job of explaining what you're really getting versus what it's really worth when you buy anything Magic. He even does reviews for accessories.
Fatpacks are already 50-60 across the board.
The fatpack will contain 80 full art lands...please vote for it!
Just a Reminder: The Holiday Giftbox will NOT contain full art lands in its pack of 20 Basic Lands. But the 5 booster pack will each contain one full art land. So you are getting 5 full art lands, not 25.
