The Alienware AW3418DW is better that the Asus Pg348q or the Acer X34 and the 35" 200hz HDR panels aren't going to be available for months.

I just got the pg348q, which I will be returning. The gaming is great, but for development work its just too washed out. Colors are very poor. The glow basically makes it look like OSX was designed with dropshadows in bottom and corners...
My point of reference is the late 2016 macbook pro, which obviously has a very good display. Read lots of reviews beforehand, but I think a lot of those reviewers come from 1080p TN panels or whatever. I'm sure it compares nicely to that, but this still isn't a very nice panel to look at.
Panel-lottery is also a big factor with the pg348q as I understand it.
