I say that the modern 2nd gen Ryzen CPUs are ever so slightly better than the current ones, especially with the faster bus speed and memory clock. I currently have a Ryzen 5 1600x at 4.0GHz and my memory clocked at 2800MHz. Runs everything extremely well other than streaming and recording at the same time.

True, I have the 5 2400g and it handles the modern games I like to play reasonably well. Plus with Ryzen Master you can push the iGPU a little bit harder if you need to without overclocking the entire CPU
