I think all the people that have the financial ressoures to buy a GTX 1080 have enough money that 30$ more is acceptable. But if you dont have 650$ left for a videocard but 250$, then 30$ less are much in comaparision. So I think if the community wants cheap products, then a GTX 1060 or a RX 480 would be the right choice.
I don't think people understand that if a vote say "Cheap Graphics Cards" that you shouldn't go add several different 1080s... We haven't had any good 1080 deal show up on Massdrop for a good reason I think, the manufacturers are still making tons of money off the cards, offering a "cheaper" deal than the norm will cause them to lose a significant amount of money...
Why is this called cheap graphics card? This list is horrible. 1. GTX 1080 is not cheap, no reason it should be here 2. Quite a few of real cheap cards are not on the list (like the RX 460(470) and GTX 970) 3. This one is for the voters, there are already poll for the 1080 voting for it here is already useless.
I second this. I'm not even looking for GPUS, but I saw the "Cheap GPU" poll and it just doesn't sit right with me when it's full of stuff that doesn't fit. The only reason they're getting upvoted like hell is because there are tons of people here who want another 1080 drop and don't care about the purpose of the poll.
It's even worse whenever the original 1080 drop wasn't even that great... It was still absurdly above MSRP and we only got to save about $20 off release price...
