I have a 600 grit DMT stone which is amazing and then a 8000 grit extra extra fine which is kinda meh, the break in time seems to be very long from what I've read, one guy had a break-in period of about a year and then got the results similar to that of an 8k stone. I'm about 10 sharpening sessions in and it hasn't changed one bit... Kinda disappointed
