it's only a little bit more expensive that the 480, and is infinitely more powerful!!

Any benchmarks showing this ''infinite'' superiority? I do agree however that having 1 card would be more convenient in that you don't need to worry about support for crossfire/sli and higher power requirements. Then again, DX12..

the people at amd claim that two 470s in crossfire would beat a 1070

GyrozaidIt's not infinitely more powerful. It's considerably more expensive and two 480s will beat it for cheaper. It's a high end card, the 480 is a mid to lower range, rather priced card.
