I have a pair of 598s (not purchased from Drop). I love this community, and I'd like to share my feedback, based on having owned this pair for over two years. Most important of all: the ear pieces will flake and peel off, leaving black dust everywhere, and you will *not* be able to replace them. Sennheiser doe not sell official replacements, and the aftermarket ones from other places (*cough* Amazon *cough*) will significantly alter the sound signature, So, you either put up with something that leaves black dust on your ears/head/neck, or you lose the reason you bought it in the first place. I'm attaching a couple of photos, so you can judge for yourself. There are lots of good headphones made by Sennheiser, and many of them are found here on Drop (I still own, use, and love the 6xx I bought here), but the 598 is probably not worth owning.
