I have some a Gamecom headset that the plastic headband snapped. I'm just looking for a stronger headband, comfortable ear cushions, and good sound.
M50s have no soundstage and will make a terrible gaming headset. The Q701 on the otherhand would be great.

The Q701's are great sound wise, but the terrible headband makes them a poor choice for extended use. I'd sacrifice some soundstage for comfort, although I don't think closed cans are the way to go. Something like the Sennheiser HD598 or the Phillips Fidelio L1 or X2 are the best of both worlds.
