sorry literal username. start at 3:20.
How any of these fit under "everyday carry" is beyond me. I don't know what your day to day is but I'm not sure I am that hardcore.
The video is amusing, but that shovel is not a grappling hook.
I'm all for grappling hooks, I'd love to be batman. But EDC? You guys must be badasses.
Load bearing is a non-issue, now that the smaller options are unavailable. All of the ones left support climbing. I love the look of the Grabber. It means my morning jog can finally have me traversing eight-foot walls.
I hope you guys are reading which ones can support body weight and are actually for climbing.
yeh , but realistically most times you need a hook , its not one you need to climb on , just for snagging stuff etc

Realistically, most times I need to snag stuff, I can use my hands or a hanger. Realistically, most times I buy a grappling hook, I expect to be able to climb with it.
Plus, with the cheap ones, we won't be getting much of a discount ~$10 at most. Might as well buy it for full price. With the more expensive, legitimate ones, you'll be getting a larger discount, more like ~$50.
The Capewell hook supports "six 268 lb men", or 2.5 normal sized men like me. Too bad none of these hooks have picatinny rails to mount flashlights or cupholders.
IMPORTANT: The Micro Grappling hook is not designed for life support applications and should not be used for such applications. As with all tools, use with extreme caution. Special note to ninja warriors: This will not support your body weight.
I laughed because this describes me so well.
If anyone is interested in these for climbing - the two sub-$100 are not valid options.
