The 5820k is the greatest chip for the money regarding CPU-intensive tasks, hands down. People vote for the 4790k and 6700k because they never heard of x99. 5820k is much better for CPU-intensive tasks than the same gen 4790k and the current 6700k. 6 core i7 for $370?!

DutchTexanYou can get the 6700k for 300 on most sites now also it's a Skylake. People should be moving on to Skylake as the market will transfer mostly to LGA 1151 in a couple years. It would be pretty stupid to drop money into a Haswell build at this point. You will have a tougher time upgrading in the upcoming years. The 6700k is a extremely well valued Skylake chip which is perfect for years to come and future upgrading. Learn PC builds mate.

FarsomIf rumors are to believed Coffe Lake will be using a new socket. Also if you're not already on that socket Ryzen is going to be a better deal right now anyway.
