The ghost whisperer is tempting, but I've heard the shell fabric is ridiculously delicate and gets holes super easily. I do like lightweight shell fabrics, but at some point it gets so light it's useless.

KarlBirkirIt's fairly lightweight. We'll see how it holds up compared to my patagonia UL puffy that is notorious for getting holes in it.
I managed to score one of these in a psychotic clearance sale for around 100 bucks. I couldn't not buy it for that kind of deal. It's weird how lightweight it is- it's almost translucent in the light and putting it on is like putting on warm air more than putting on a jacket.

KarlBirkirI have a Ghost Whisperer jacket and have had no problems at all with the shell fabric. Great jacket. I use it for daily where in winter and for backpacking.
