I'm also very interested in a Stratospire 2 as well. Any chance that we will see a drop in the future?
I would be really interested in the Tarptent stratospire 1!
Over 30O votes for the Zpacks Duplex tent on the "ZPacks Ultralight Products" poll which has now been closed!!! It should be more than enough to contact Zpacks and start discussing the price... Where are you at?

@Toma - I did talk with Zpacks. Right now, we're only able to work together on smaller products, like the recent drop for the Bear Bag kit. Even in that drop, some people were unsatisfied with the lowest drop price. Zpacks just moved facilities, and we all just worked through Black Friday, but now that is all behind us and we hope to continue our discussion about how to work together. Thanks for voicing your interest!
I reached out to TarpTent and they might be willing to work with us later in the year, but we won't have anything for the foreseeable future. Same goes for Zpacks. No news on getting YMG and Big Agnes tents.

That's a shame to hear. I would really like to see a mass drop on a Tarptent Double Rainbow.

Still no luck with TarpTent. We will be working with Zpacks this month, for smaller items. It may not be possible to drop Zpacks tents or sleeping bags.
Have the Tarptent Contrail (predecessor to the Protrial) and couldn't be happier. Roomy, light, and well ventilated - imagine the Protrail would be even better!
Will this ever drop? no
The variety and selection of UL tents today is pretty astounding, compared with just 10 years ago. Of all the manufacturers, Henry Shires seems to have a particular brilliance for innovation and simple solutions. I've been a very happy owner of two TarpTents since 2007.

I'm also in the market for a Stratospire 2 as well! Seems to be a good mix of everything I'm looking for in a backpacking tent.
After much, much research I'm ready to buy a Tarptent Stratospire 2. Pyramid-style weight and strength, double-wall practicality with heaps of floor area, headroom and 2 big doors and 2 big vestibules. I think it's superior to every competitor including the Double Rainbow, Scarp 2 and the Lunar Duo, and much cheaper and more user-friendly than a Cuben option.
ZPacks Duplex! The total weight for the tent is 20.0 ounces (567 grams) (including everything except stakes). It's really spacious for 2 persons tent (2 vestibules, 2 entries)
I'd actually be interested in the Double Rainbow. Have heard nothing but good things about them. I find the 2 man ultralights a little more versatile in the long run too. Definitely worthy of the extra weight tradeoff.
Tarptent Notch! Made in USA, amazing company (the owner himself answers questions on BPL dot com within hours. The notch is the lightest full double walled single person tent you can buy without going into the whole cuben fiber thing. Best money for value!
