Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. If anyone is on the fence about these, get on the train cause these things carry their weight. Great clarity, substantial low end, can open up with the included m15 modules. These have made me a 64 audio fan for life.
I recently purchased the Noble X's in the last drop and will get them on Wednesday. However, I can already tell you these will out-play the X's all day long. No argument.
At this point, I believe the difference between the Noble X's and 64audio U4-SE's is a matter of how far down the audiophile rabbit hole you're willing to go. For me, unfortunately (or fortunately), my rabbit hole is now never-ending, as I will forever be chasing the "perfect IEM". Nonetheless, I have to agree with the recent InnerFidelity review of the X's that they are quite fun, warm, and will make the more casual audio fan smile. However, the U4-SE's make me giddy every time I listen to them. Good luck!
