I'm selling my U10's from the last drop. I bought them as a travel IEM and then changed jobs and didn't travel that much. I have a custom set of Westones that I use on-stage, and so these U10's have BARELY been used... probably less than 20 hours total. I had them upgraded to the APEX module at NAMM and have extra Comply foam eartips for them. I'm looking for $699 shipped in the Continental US.
I finally got Spinfit eartips, huge positive difference, the foam type seemed to take a lot of the mid and higher freqs down quite a bit plus the soundstage gets bigger.
DALEAccording to manufacturer, U8 is bass-heavy (4 bass drivers, 2 mid, 2 high) while U10 is more balanced (2 bass drivers, 4 mid, 4 high). They recommend U6 and U10 for audiophiles, and U8 for bass, drum and dj. So, to answer your question: depends on your tastes. If you prefer to hear more bass, you may like U8 more than U10.
I recommend listening them with your preferred device(s) before purchasing - headphone sound preference is a very subjective thing.
U8. Best IEM. Amazing bass and sound quality. Small and light weight shells. Doesn't feel heavy or hurt my ears. Thin braided (not stiff) cable. Perfect!
