eneroi got a previous "edition" by the same company, and can say about MacOS: eh, sort of. MacOS gamepad support is trash but it worked fine with a third-party button mapping utility called "USB Overdrive" (free nagware, $20 to un-nag).
oh, that edition didn't have analog sticks so i have no idea about those… i wouldn't be optimistic, but they might work just fine.
timoyeah, I'm not even gonna bother, too frustrating dealing with Apple's BS "quality-control" wall.
And even if I could get it working, theres a really good chance it wont work at all in Minecraft PE, which is what I would use it for...
enerofwiw, USB Overdrive lets you map the buttons to arbitrary keyboard keys, so that's pretty handy. but yeah, it wouldn't be ideal and the other comments about build quality are worrisome. it's safe to give it a pass.
eneroMy experience using one of these is that it gets reported to SDL2 in macOS as a joystick, not a gamepad. All the buttons and axes work, but compared to an Xbox One controller, they're mapped differently. If the game supports joysticks and gamepads, and has button remapping, it should work just fine.
HaggisMacJediHi
i am Trying to use this pad with Atari greatest hits apps on iPhone but with no success.
Did you make any specific actions to use your pad on your iPhone ?
best regards
kernelokI think @HaggisMacJedi is using the controller on his Mac with said emulators. Out of the box, this controller only works in iOS with a few games that the company has listed on their website. You would have to jailbreak your iOS device to get it to work with anything that isnt supported. I knew this going in and bought one anyway on Amazon when it was on sale a few months ago. It didnt impress me enough to keep, so I returned it. Jailbreaking just so I could play Minecraft PE with this controller just wasnt worth the trouble.
kernelokMan I'm sorry it took so long to respond. I'm was using this controller on my Mac using emulators but now I'm using it on my Raspberry Pi running emulators and it is BRILLIANT with that wirelessly! Atari's Greatest Hits doesn't even work on the latest update of iOS so I'm not using that.
