You should put NVMe in the title, otherwise the unknowing will assume it is a SATA drive with is incompatible. PCIe is not a good enough descriptor.

Anzialahhh ok. thx for clarifying that. so whether ur M2 supports PCIe depends on the motherboard? is it mutually exclusive, the M2 port either supports PCIe or SATA?

Anzialm.2 can also be used via add-on PCI-e card (nvme [fast-lots of data] uses the PCI-e Bus easier implemented on Motherboards, Generally requires UEFI windows to boot from if installed on. Sata (legacy)/ACHI [ruffly SSD speeds - limited data] uses/shares/backwards compatible with the Sata controller - because it cheaper & mainly for laptops to save space.
