I commonly use 2 (or more) sets of headphones on my desk between work calls, gaming, and critical listening. This fits the bill for switching between them. The cables still dangle a bit but it serves its purpose.
Honestly 4 stars fits this well, as it's 80% perfect.
At $25, it's a solid hanger for one set of headphones. But since it's designed for two, things get quirky. I've had it for a couple years now and been trying to mount it to different points on my desk. There is no *great* way to get it to stay mounted.
Adding some rubber to the bottom portion of the clamp, and maybe a spring so there's constant tension would help, alot. As it stands I'd be sitting with one set of headphones on it and...it'll just fall.
Verdict: While initially promising, the ADV. Dual Suspension Hanger v2's bendable arm issue makes it a questionable long-term investment. Consider it a temporary solution or use only with lightweight headphones.
Rating: 3/5💡 Usage Tips:
The hanger is well made and has two different hooks. If you have restricted space to be able to have something jutting out the edge of your desk then you may find the top hanger slightly too high to be usable as I found when paired with a relatively thick desk.
The clamp itself has a large range suitable for anyone whose desk isn't an entire tree trunk.
At RRP this seems fairly overpriced so try snag it while it's on sale!
The ADV. Dual Suspension Headphone Hanger is an excellent accessory for anyone looking to keep their headphones organized and within reach. The dual suspension design is particularly impressive, providing a secure and gentle hold on your headphones, preventing any unnecessary pressure or wear on the headband. It’s well-constructed, with a sleek and minimalist design that complements any desk setup.
Installation is straightforward, and the hanger’s sturdy construction gives confidence that it can handle even heavier headphones without issue. The ability to hold two pairs of headphones is a convenient feature, making it ideal for those with multiple sets.
The only minor downside is that the clamp could be a bit more versatile to fit a wider range of desk thicknesses, but it still works well for most setups.
The Adhesive pad attached to the top clamp that touches the topside of the desk is not secure and moves easily. Tightening the clamp does not fix this issue.
not a ton to say, no bells and whistles, just a straightforward and functional desk clamp with can holder arms. dropping one star because it's pretty finicky, at least on my desk, where it can be placed and still hold two pairs without bumping into each other.
I like that I can place my headphones anywhere I can think to clamp to. I've never had any trouble with the bracket slipping. It's very strong. Holds roughly two medium sized headsets. You can cram a third if they are small.
I think the biggest con is that I need more clamps to hold more headsets!
