Hey guys I just wanted to chime in. I was in on the first drop and have had these bad boys for a few weeks now. The soundstage is amazing and they seem very sturdily built. It is a bright sounding headphone with a lack of bass so if bass is your thing, these aren't the cans for you. My only gripe is they're extremely heavy and weigh on the crown of your noggin after wearing them for a while. So in terms of long listening sessions with them, I don't think it's possible because after an hour or so, my head is just killing me and I have to switch to some more comfy cans. So in retrospect, the sound is awesome, but comfort level, not so much. Just my two cents.

AlucardYou're able to get a set of new pads for them. Check out the Alpha pads which I've heard been thrown around.

Alucardi suggest heading over to head-fi http://www.head-fi.org/t/760386/new-release-the-akg-k553-pro-featuring-a-killer-massdrop-deal
you will see people talk about how to adjust the clamp force, that could help some, I dont have any problem using these for hours and hours on end without pain....though i really do suggest making them a bit tighter, i got a big head and...these are just a bit looser then i prefer....
