Well drop has been delayed and if it's more than 30 days massdrop will let us know? Are you kidding me? 3 weeks since I was charged and now they don't even give a timeframe of when we might get them. I can get the same pair as I ordered here for $2 more and have them in 2 days. How about just a little hint on what the time frame may be for having them in my hands.

ScottfreedomTo be honest mate if you can get them elsewhere for $2 more then why didn't you? Where I am they're not even a known brand, and Amazon stocks them for about $20-45 more depending on the size/variant, so it makes sense to participate (that was assuming it'd ship on time). I'm giving MD until the 25th/26th then I'm cancelling. I don't want it badly enough to keep waiting endlessly.

TheReubieWell to be honest as you suggest, a month ago I wasn't able to find them for that price and also I like to join drops so it will help many people get a decent price. I don't mind waiting many times but what bothered me on this drop is that many have waited for a month and then to be told the day they are supposed to ship that they will let us know if it's going to be maybe 30 more days? Just don't think that is a way for a company to inform clients that they aren't going to get an item as promised. I'm not so much accusing Massdrop as I am Altra. If they can't fulfill their obligation then they shouldn't have agreed to the drop. That's just good customer service.

ScottfreedomI fully agree with the sentiment and I do think there should have been an earlier status update indicating a delay, with the option to refund presented then. As far as I'm concerned both parties are to blame. I'm dealing with MD, not with Altra, and if Altra has a delay, I expect MD to inform me ahead of schedule and not on the expected shipping date (If no one's been pursuing Altra for an update, with a tomahawk in hand if need be, then some of the blame falls on MD for failing to carry out due diligence). If Altra is unable to fulfil (in time) for whatever reason, then the blame also lies with them. I'm paying for a finished end product (this isn't Kickstarter), not to care about what logistical or supply chain problems a company has (they have paid employees who are supposed to care about that) - I'm pre-empting the comments from people who 'work in logistics/SCM' and are jumping to give 1001 reasons why things don't always go according to schedule. That being said, I wish I could find it elsewhere for $2 (even $10) more, even if it wasn't the variant/design I wanted.

ScottfreedomContacted Massdrop about the delay by replying to the delay email. They looked into it and at least for me, item is shipped now and the delay was weather related...hope you've been updated as well and if not contact them via the email they sent...hope this helps

JavaTimeI got the same response. They said I couldn't refund since they'd already shipped. But that was over a week ago and they still aren't here. Not pleased with my first massdrop experience.
