What is SpaceFN and why you should give it a try
The SpaceFN concept - setting up your space key as a layer switch when held - is probably one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby. Let me explain how it works. My SpaceFN article on kbd.news made some rounds recently - quite surprisingly given the age of this concept. This piece you're reading is a condensed version of the full post. If you're left with unanswered questions, you'll most likely find the info you're looking for in the original write-up. On my imaginary top list of the most useful keyboard features, tweaks and hacks, SpaceFN would deserve a podium finish for sure. But what makes it so special? In short: SpaceFN is easy to implement, easy to learn, costs nothing, can be used with any keyboard, and can improve your productivity instantly. I will list its benefits below, but can state right at this point that the SpaceFN concept, setting up your space key as a layer switch when held, is clearly one of the most useful tweaks in the keyboard hobby....

I was wrong as SamH pointed out. See my comment below.
Never tried aluminum cases before, but I indeed has come through a review with a faulty aluminium TKL case for Filco TKL.
So you're right. I was mistaken. Regardless, a case without standoffs is a bad plan.
Hope it would not happen to this one ahaha.
A little annoyed with the ping on mine with tactile greys, so if I can slip a think foam sheet under there, that might be a good thing on two counts.
Still... not sure if I want to beta test for $110. At least there are eight days to think it over.
I'm pretty sure there are 3 standoffs in the FC660M case, including that big hole w the screw near the enter key :)
Whats the point of getting this if the pcb isnt going to be supported? Is there another way the pcb can be supported? It makes me think the left side of the pcb is just going to bounce around the inside of the case.
If this one is by MKC (since it looks alike MKC GeekKeys case, as claim in the desc, so I **assume** it would be from MKC), I believe it would have standoffs. Like the POKER 60% case by MKC, they have proper standoffs.
and then again, my argument is only valid if this case is by MKC and there exists a beta version of this case (a real pic instead of 3D rendering)...
Let's just hope...
