The description states that they lie fully flat, but how much effort is required to keep them flat? I’ve seen a lot of hardcover notebooks that want to partially close once you stop pressing down on the pages.
Also, How are they bound?

MagicFancyFunHi, zero effort. It's a little stiff the first time as it is pressed using a Nippon Press to bind the pages during manufacturing but then once youve used it okce/twice you can leave it open on your desk. It's thread sewn binding.
