nick_tThey stopped making the AD2000x but kept the AD1000x. So i doubt they can. But yeah Detach cable, better headband, improve ear pads & 1000x or the better 2000x driver (TBH even the 900x driver would be ok if they wanted to do a MD/AT "gaming" headphone) Massdrop version & they would have a winner.

DamienRWell as for the Ad 2000x driver, its already perfect for what they are. An improved driver will most probably will have a slight differ to its sound signature !

Josz27I think he misread/misunderstood what i said. I have owned the whole series of that line the only issue with the 2000x is the imaging isn't accurate, It gives you damm good imaging & not an issue for music, but if you want to game as well, you will find about 20 degrees off in sounds in games like Arma. While the 1000x, 900x, 700x, 500x are accurate. Its the reason why i ended up selling the 2000x.

Josz27Because what do you think they will improve, a few tweak here and there change the sound signature. In fact, they have a new flagship AD 5000x which consider as neutrality embodiment tune for nuetrality all rounder. But the AD 2000X is different where is nutrality is tune towards bright for female vocals and acoustic music as well as music instrument such as piano and guitar as such. Its dynamic is one of the best. Its perceived as narrow sound stage like a small studio or music room with actual music instrument being play.
