Lock up is difficult. Action is stiff. Feels cheaply made. Seriously considering seeing if there’s an option to return it but might not worth the hassle. Dissatisfied
LOVE this knife - super sharp out of the box - came with a really nice little soft fabric pouch with wooden beads on the pull cord. The carbon fibre is great, the colour on the other side of mine is really cool. Highly recommend
The build quality of the knife is great. My blade flips very smoothly (but the bearings are completely dry as another reviewer mentioned) and I have no trouble flipping the blade completely every time. The blade is centered well, and is decently sharp. While it is a good knife, the asthetics are a bit disapointing. I got the "spectrum" finish and the anodization on the titanium side was initially very light and barely noticable. Over 24 hours it darkened quite a bit and over the next week or two got even darker. Odd, but good. I still wish it was a bit darker but I'm happy overall.
My first knife on Drop. I do an unboxing video here. https://youtu.be/ots5xuT7rcQ
First impressions it fails to flip about 75% of the time. Maybe it’s issues with a weak detent or the fact it was dry to the bone. I took it apart clean and oil it. But it’s still not flipping good.
Second reason, it’s not sharp from the factory. It has trouble cutting paper. See my video.
I wanna like it, it looks fantastic, great design. Hopefully I take it apart again and see why it doesn’t want to flip. As for sharpening, I can fix this I suppose. 😑
