When you think of silence, which member of the animal kingdom comes to mind? A shrimp? We didn’t think so. But ask yourself: is there a quieter animal out there? Perhaps this was the line of thinking for Durock in creating the Silent Shrimp T1 Tactile Switch. A nearly-noiseless variation of the brand’s popular T1 line, the Silent Shrimp features a patented “silent stem” with a removable silicon “silent circle” around its base to absorb impact and sound. In terms of tactility, it resembles its T1 predecessors with a P-shaped tactile bump—though it has a shorter 3.8 millimeters of total travel, due to the dampener. You’ll need a heftier 67 grams of force to bottom it out, but that’s to be expected from a switch weighted almost exactly like the original T1. You’ll also likely want to install this sea-faring switch on a board featuring a floating key design, as its housings showcase a brilliant ocean-blue color: home for any silent shrimp.
Note: This run is for a 35-switch pack.
