$164 for headphones that from my understanding now is a shot in the dark with QA. Left driver is significantly quieter and much worse sounding than the right. lotssssss of ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss Never had this issue with sub $150 Sennheiser or Audio-Technica. Everyone boasts how great these are but the pair I got is absolutely terrible. The pleather piece that's fastened over the headband is over sized and scrunched up, the height adjustment is the worst in the industry next to 1990's sliders that Fostex seems to love. The one driver on the right that does seem to work properly thumps and hisses. Great sub bass. I'm not quite a believer in Beyer anymore. I've been waiting three years to get these and i'm absolutely disappointed.

ruiplacidoI'm surprised i'm not the only one that's had that issue, especially with the not as popular 80ohm version.

giordanofoxNo two things are the same. There's good number of people on Head-Fi having issues with new Beyers. It's safer to buy used than new. My amp is perfectly fine, anything past 60% with the 250 Ohm was loud, and has never had a balance issue. I tested them on a friends mixer that drives 900 ohm drivers without a sweat...... Same issue.

NeenerManYeah, Beyer is not matching drivers in their budget line of audiophile/studio headphones. Too bad because there aren't many decent closed backs which sound good. I had worse issue than you describe with DT880-600 - I replaced the driver myself, because warranty people ignored my complain about drivers imbalance and tonality. Unlike the Beyers my ATH-M50 didn't have this sort of issues. For those that find Beyers overly bright, there are a few tricks to reduce peaky treble. Try placing a piece of toiled paper or clinex (facial tissue) under the foam which covers the drivers, it should attenuate the highs a little, making them listenable. The 250ohm version is supposedly the best sounding. https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/taming-the-treble/
https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-a-i/dt770-pro-250%cf%89/ He mods other headphones Beyer headphones and other brands. I bought HD58X, moded it the way he described in pdf (felt with 4mm hole) and I'm quite happy with it. Erin from ASR gave it high recommendation which he doesn't do often. https://www.audiosciencereview.com/forum/index.php?threads/massdrop-sennheiser-hd58x-jubilee-review-headphone.25474/

NeenerManIt sounds like you've had a frustrating experience with those headphones. It's disappointing when a product doesn't meet expectations, especially after waiting so long. When it comes to tech issues like this, a human touch can make a big difference. Have you tried reaching out to the manufacturer for support or a replacement? They might be able to offer a solution or a refund.
