Why haven't I received a shipping code or response from customer service for my order in over 3 weeks?
Hello, I apologize for using the community to post a customer service ticket essentially, but I haven't gotten any update from this website for my FIRST ORDER regarding some headphones I ordered. Essentially, my partner ordered me some gaming headphones ( Drop + EPOS PC38X) a few weeks ago. I have an attached screenshot of the confirmation code on this post. Normally I'd expect a shipping code to be provided, at most, a week later, but I decided to give this website a little bit more patience because to begin with, my girlfriend was skeptical, but after reading some posts on Reddit recommending this site, I convinced her it wasn't a scam. 3 weeks later, lo and behold, we still have not gotten any kind of shipping update. I am just wondering, on average, how long it takes for an order to get to the buyer here. I have ordered from websites like Shien and etc, so I am not really stressing anything, but considering the fact that I sent customer support an e-mail 10 days ago and have...

I have both T1 versions, I have these, in the 600 ohm version. On very many occaisions I find myself choosing these to listen to. OVER the supposedly "superior" T1s. I find the detail and clarity, crispness of presentation to be superb, they are very fast/responsive and I can say that I find the SS with certain musics to be "sparkling". In much the same way we describe the Grado 325 metal backs to be sparkling.
The lack of cable detach-ability, for me, is a non-issue. I don't detactch cables all that much, even when I can, because I find that it increases wear and tear on the cable insertion points and chances for dirt and oils and dust to get into sockets and pins, etc.Unless I am packing them up to drag around elsewhere, I don't reall see the need for detachable. That's ME, my opinion, not a criticism, btw.
I especially love these with electronic music,(think "New Age" or "Space"), that is fast, using sequencer structures, and likes a clinical and responsive set of cans. The semi-open back gives these an interesting quality that brings the music right into your head without losing sense of stage, which makes the experience pleasurable to me. I suspect that this is the very thing that sets the SS of these cans apart from the T1s; it's kid of the best of both worlds between open and closed-back cans.
I too prefer two-cabled cans over 1-cable....however, I don't believe this construction degrades the sound in any way; look at all the touted AKG headphones that are single cable which have a huge following....
These are a bit of a "niche" headphone, much like the Senn HD600- they often get passed over in favour of the "big brother" when they have an excellent sound all of their own.
If I get a chance in the next couple of days, I will put up a comparison review of these vs. the T1s. I will probably toss out some info about how I power them, etc. if folks would like that.
I listen to the 880's ESPECIALLY when I am listening to fast acoustic guitar...think Leo Kottke from his earlier period a la " 6 and 12 String Guitar" through "Chewing Pine".
