Okay, the choice of words does get on my nerves. First of all, "Nothing compares to the sound of a true speaker system..." What's a true speaker system, and what's a false one? O_O Secondly, "... two key components that replicate the performance and sonic characteristics of a true loudspeaker". We have that again- plus the fact that there are terrible-sounding large driver/open-backed metal mash xx headphones or loudspeakers or whatever they're talking about. Thirdly, "To make them work in the context of headphones, BLON has outfitted the BL-30 with..." Excuse me? Are they not headphones after all? Yet they ought to be driven with a regular headphone amplifier? Fourth, "The finished product delivers booming-yet-balanced low frequencies". I am embarrassed for them, and at a lost of words at this point. Finally, "Rounding out the black and metallic design, the BL-30’s matching leather headband features an innovative adjustment system to accommodate all head shapes and sizes." I'm sure we have seen it before somewhere for quite the number of years though *sip* Despite my misgivings, it does look like an interesting product. I sincerely hope they will not disappoint for the benefit of all invested parties

phoenixsongSixth, "BLON has outfitted the BL-30 with a large, over-ear fit and plush, noise-isolating earpads."       Noise-isolating on an open-back headphoes ??????

michabarlevTo be fair, they directed the "noise isolating" part at the pads so we can't really fault them for that (despite the blunder) :p

phoenixsongThe noise is still coming from the outside...... So for me in these particular headphones noise-insulating pads are useless.
michabarleveven closed backs let sound in though lol
phoenixsongThe first line “Nothing compares...” immediately triggered some Sinéad O’Connor in my head.

phoenixsongdo you own a pair?
(Edited)
petecamachoNo, he just didn’t like the marketing terms. But he didn’t say they would sound bad, so I respect that he didn’t review the product itself without trying it.

EvshrugLol...can’t he answer for himself?
Rowdy2026I mean, if you want to get constitutional about it, @phoenixsong’s original post was clear enough that he didn’t own a pair, or come from the perspective of making judgements based on observed sound. Just had to read far enough to see that.

Rowdy2026It is as Evshrug had said- no point answering the obvious :) If it wasn't clear enough for you though, I can gladly explain ^^

Rowdy2026Indeed, seems like words and kindly offers alike are a waste on you. If you're having a bad day I hope you'll have friends and loved ones to talk to, unlikely though that may be
phoenixsongEh, I moved on to dinner prep 😁🦃
