Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

Headfonics has a review on the b200 and it seems these are a bit 'boring'. They even compare it to the Noble X which is already a dark/warm phone and it sounds fuller and more musical: https://headfonics.com/2017/05/the-b200-by-brainwavz/2/
So, if you're looking for something lean then the b200 may be for you. If you want something shy of neutral/balanced with a bit of warmth, the EDC3, Pinnacle PX, or Noble X would be in your alley.
The EDC is also a good choice as it's bass heavy of you're looking for something with some low end grunt. It's also the cheapest option but lacks the imaging and soundstage of some more extensive sets. They still sound pretty damn good for their asking price.
Honestly both of these sets seem a little underwhelming unless you're a strict neutrality chaser.... Tfz king pro or noble x might be a better fit if you want a step up from the original edc... Lots of good stuff coming out all the time too.
Per the review here with charts and overlays of other sets in the price range, the b200 is a lean phone: https://www.headphone-earphone.reviews/2018/02/08/brainwavz-b200-v2-review/
They lack a low-end and warmth. The EDC has a major wallop in the low end and lots of rolloff up high looking at the graphs from Inner Fidelity. The EDC3 thus far looks pretty damn neutral from reviews and what people are already saying. I think I can firmly say the EDC and EDC3 are going to appeal to different folks as they are different enough. And for this price range, what would.one expect from their soundstage or imaging? I could unfairly compare everything to my Shure 846 or Send ie800 and they would lose. By a wise margin. For their costs, it's hard to complain that it's a little bit wide with a bit of height.
I don't think anything is a knock against the b200, they just have their own signature. If you want a lean, more 'analytical' sound that lacks warmth then I'm sure you'd love them. If you want something that dark and warm, you'd probably love the Noble X. If you want something close to neutral with some warmth, the EDC3 has got you covered.
And I appreciate nuforce tuning, but honestly think the EDC get a bit to much love. They are a safe bet to recommend to anyone for an entry into the IEM world but it's by no means the"best" for everyone. As a step up, I really wish they would have focused on the soundstage, because that was a obvious area for improvement. The appeal is really multi driver BA at this price point, and honestly I feel like people coming from the consumer level stuff that people buy en masse might be a bit disappointed.
I guess I collect and listen to more high end gear, my perception of what good staging is just changes. So, for the money, these lower offerings are just adequate to me. They're all close enough to that in the grand scheme of things, their soundstage is really the same.
