Lunchable"I had a CCCP watch once. All my Russian friends thought I was crazy. I don't think I'll be getting one again."
Something to seriously mull over. “What will my Russian friends think?” I mean, you might even have to have a second $99 watch to wear when the Russians are coming over.
LunchableI saw a report on Japanese television the other night about the popularity in Russia of vintage goods shops that specialize in Soviet-era products. There's quite a retro boom over there.
Perhaps there is a small subset of Russian immigrants who have PTSD over "CCCP" products and need a safe space and a therapy dog when they see those initials, but I think it's very small (90-year-old Jews who came over when Reagan was president?). Most Russians in recent years are coming for better job and economic prospects.
