Does anyone know if the standard recon tanto (7") can legally be carried in public in Massachusetts, concealed or not?

goldpaw121It depends on the city/town. In boxford and topsfield where I live theres no limit on length but most cities in MA have strict limits on length. As a state there arent any limits on length but the towns and cities have their own ordinances that further restrict the legality. You should always look up your towns ordinances for knives just to be safe.

goldpaw121LOL ... you're not even allowed to say the word "tanto" or "knife" in public in the PR of MA without facing fines ! :-)

OrangachangThat is a mind-boggling headache to wrap my head around, to be legal you have to research every individual place you will be ahead of time. Why.
