LythimusExcept they made it a more broad sword. I wonder what is the balance that sword has, when you swing it.

Silverstriketypically the balance point for a katana is about 7-8 inches out from the tsuba or the round metal piece that protects the hands. Long swords depending on style are from 2-4 inches from the crossguard.

JbtuckWell done sir. So it seems this one although looks good, when you swing it, it will be off. The video was more of a brute force show than finesse.
I wonder if most of us here realize the importance of balance. A well balanced sword will be effortless and natural to swing and cuts graciously. Well, one of the reasons why they say swords have character.
