Hello everyone!
This is Carter from CM. I know a lot of mishaps have taken place and we are doing everything in our power to get this straightened out for you. I spoke with Andrew today and let him know I will be flying out to Taiwan this week to personally work out arrangements regarding the key testers and whatever we can do to speed up the process will be done.
Our logistical nightmare has been troubling for all and I want to personally apologize to each and everyone of you affected. Currently we still have the schedule landing 3.15. The port congestion while labeled in the news as "Settled and Fixed" is far from it. Its still a 6 month process to clear out on hand inventory. Note that we are all in the same "boat" when it comes to trying to understand the current port situation. To give you an idea, Walmart is still waiting on 2 containers that were meant for Halloween.
I will personally review the container schedule again with my Logistics team 9AM PST tomorrow morning and provide hopefully an even clearer update.
Massdrop and CM only want to provide the best for this wonderful community. Please understand this was never something either party ever thought possible.

CMCartrWhen you get on the return flight later this week, do you think you could just bring a bag with our keyboards in it or something? Maybe rent a C130 Hercules, load up that container, and just fly it over here. It'll be a massive sign of goodwill that could turn this story around. It'd go from a "this is the worst Massdrop and CM experience ever" to "let me tell you about the time my keyboard rode on a C130."

CMCartrWait. These super late keyboards are coming over on a boat? What did Walmart have to say about that?

bonestampIt's the only way Walmart could sell what they sell at the price they sell it.

CMCartrCarter, thank you for the response, and thank you for time zone-stamping your response, I now feel like you're serious.

RampantBiologicOh, I understand that most thing come over on a boat... but when something is months late to Walmart, you're talking about fines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and the risk of being delisted... so my point was that I can't imagine they're bringing the walmart over on a boat because it would cost them more than it would be to expedite it. (I used to work in overseas freight so I'm very familiar with what people are willing to do when an order is for Walmart)

bonestampThe Walmart claim was specifically made by a CM rep, but I thought it EXTREMELY odd that the two Walmarts I use for groceries both had overly large middle-of-the-aisle displays of clearanced Halloween merchandise in February. Other than the fact that cereal was a large component, the only thing that makes sense is that the CM rep was in fact correct and that halloween merchandise meant for Walmart had gotten held up in the shipping dispute.
