For those unsure about this drop, I purchased the original Crazyflie from Massdrop as well and it was a ton of fun learning to build it and they play around with. It's a great starter for those wanting to learn how to build quads later on.
You should also check out the flitetest youtube channel as well. I learned about balancing propellers and bunch of other things from watching their videos. Cheers!

jalmeidais it difficult to program? how much prior programming knowledge do you need im a second year engineering student (robotics + comp. science) and ive only got really basic programming skills. ive used c and pascal but that's it - that being said though im pretty keen to learn and develop my skills, and have a bit of fun flying this thing around as well

spiznasHey spiznas! I'm a computer science major and this was my first quad and major hardware project I had worked on at the time. There are some official python wrappers that you can find on the bitcraze website (hosted on Github) that have some simple examples you can use. I used the python wrapper to control the crazyflie with a Leap Motion controller!

jalmeidaHi! You should check out the new repos on GitHub for the latest versions. There's a Python API and ZMQ server as well as a number of APIs supported by the community.
