Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. But to complement a DarkVoice? A $99 ODAC would probably be good enough.
A for effort though.
It's not easy to list either, it takes years to listen to every DAC on that list. I must admit though, the Berkeley and Trinity ones are what I hope to listen to one day.
Best one I've personally used was a Musical fidelity M1DAC and the difference was minor at best, only noticeable with out really focusing on 24 bit depth audio files. I honestly doubt I'd buy one more than it though, it would take a stellar personal experience or someone or trust really praising it
I find DACs makes a bigger difference to speakers than headphones, I suspect it's mainly due to the way music is represented - with speakers you're in front of a stage and you're listening for realism. With headphones you tend to focus more on micro detail and tone.
