Just get the Apple USB C to 3.5mm adaptor. It’s cheaper and a lot less likely to be sheared off.
The wired dongle type of connectors break ALL THE TIME. I have gone through 6 in the past 2 years. Just from using them to listen to podcasts. Nothing crazy, not abusing them, just normal usage.
I’ve had one Apple dongle for almost 2 and a half years and it still works. With almost daily use. This adaptor looks sketchy to me because it seems like a lot of weight leveraged against a pretty small connector (USB C). It reminds me of those quarter inch to 3.5mm adaptors.
Have a link or product name to purchase or investigate further by any chance?

I misread the previous comment when I replied. I actually own the Apple version. I like the small profile of this device and thought he was referring to a similar device but thanks for responding none the less.
