knowyourbuzzSame with my sheepskin and velour. @dekoni - This white rubbery material around the rim crumbles and is impossible to get rid of. The crumbs will get into the headphone driver, and I will not risk damaging my ATH-AD2000X by using these pads. I am very surprised to see you skip on quality control. All of your other pads are top-notch.
knowyourbuzzWe can swap these out for you. The material is not a leftover from the manufacturing process but a material used to denote left and right. it should, however, not be coming off or crumbling. I have checked multiple pairs here in our warehouse and I don't see any others like this so maybe it's a fluke thing. Please send us an email to sales@dekoniaudio.com and I can get you instructions on how to get those back to us and how we can send you a new set.

tdkocenthanks! have just emailed! Whats the system to tell left and right from that material?
@Arjestin for what its worth, my velours are fine and I am planning to get some dekoni pads for my KXX and possibly a sheepskin audio technica one just to compare to fenestrated and velour

knowyourbuzzI prefer Dekoni sheepskin pads for ATH-AD2000X. When properly sealed around my ears, they trap mid-bass - Something the Audio-Technica air series lack. I did not notice any change in sound with Dekoni velour pads, but they are more comfortable than stock. Hope that helps.
knowyourbuzzI have replied. I apologize for the delay
